What do I to about a teacher who picks favorites?

Our music and band teacher plays favorites. And its really annoying! Her favorites are the trombone players. She only lets them direct songs (when we have the chance) and when they forget there instruments, she doesnt care!
Where, if I forget my instrument, she yells at me, and if I want to direct a song, she ignores me.
Its not like I’m not as good as them, Im better! (I dont mean to judge, but im on a more complicated book than them) But she just likes them better. When I go to my lesson, she talks to me like she wants to be anywhere but here, but when the trombone players have a lesson (even though they normally forget) she acts like she just won the lottery!

How can I get her to stop playing favorites, or at least become a favorite of hers?

How hard will it be to learn to play the viola all over again?

I played the viola in elementary school for two years. I haven’t picked the instrument up for six years, and am going to a high school where i will be in an orchestra again. How hard will it be for me to have to re-learn everything and catch up to all the others when I haven’t touched my viola in six years? Also, will I need to buy a bigger viola, or can I still use the one that I had in elementary school? If I need to buy a new one, how much is that going to cost me?
