how do u fix a violin tuning peg?
i just bought a new violin and it’s pretty nice, but the tuning pegs keep slipping, and when ever i play one string, my bow rubs against the another one. does that mean that there’s something wrong with the violin, or is that just something all beginning violinist do? I’m only on day 2 with learning the violin so i’m really knew at it. (I’m not new at music, i’m an electric guitarist and a classical pianist), and i haven’t done anything stupid that could damage it. I know how to handle it and everything.
How do you NOT lose yourself in a relationship, when your partner’s opinion matters to you?
i have been with my boyfriend for a year now. we fought a lot for the first 6 months and almost broke up. he was really mean and jerky, breaking up with me often. Well, he improved and is really nice now (for the last 4 months). However, we both play music and I think he has worn away at my confidence with little comments over the past year (even as recently as a month ago, he said something). I no longer feel confident playing fiddle around him. I feel like i have “lost myself as an artist” a little bit. I know this is not all his fault, but partly mine for allowing his comments to affect me.
Also, I am still bitter and angry over many incidents from the bad days of the past year.
I feel like I am in a cloud and don’t know what to do. do i need to move out of our apartment and be on my own for awhile in order to see how i feel?
One of my friends HATES us together, but its not really her deal, right?
I guess my main question is, how do you not lose yourself in a relationship, when your partner’s opinion matters to you?

Should i play bass or guitar?
I think they both sound cool but i can only hear a little bass in most songs. I like the sound of bass because its more of a rhythm rather than a guitar melody. I already play viola and usually the violin has the melody so i no how to keep a rhythm. The guitar just sounds so coll and there are a lot of guitars solos and players. Ugh what should i play?!?!?!

I have seen some people makers mostly, that just by cheking out and touching a violin without playing it could tell if its good. What can you tell me??!?! what do they look for!

When i play the viola, i can only read the alto clef by fingering rather than notes. how can i learn correctly?
For example. if i see a c note on the g string, i can only read it in view of the note being third finger on the g string. i fell into this habit for five years and never learned the correct way. Like learning a secondary language, i find it nearly impossible to learn the right way! Please give me tips to learn the correct way the fastest and most effectively.
