I’ve played the violin for about 7 years and im thinking about picking up the guitar too. In what ways does knowing the violin make learning the guitar easier. and if i start to play the guitar will i pick up any bad habits that will affect my violin playing

I’ve been learning violin for 6 years. Will it be easy to learn how to play the guitar? I’m not very good with chords, so would it be harder to learn? How long do you think it would take me to learn guitar?
For someone who has played both instruments, which was harder?
I just bought a 50mm guitar strap and i’m about 5’8. When I put on the guitar strap the fretboard slides down near my feet. The strap isn’t popping off the pegs it’s just sliding down my shoulder, and I want to keep my fretboard up so I can play standing up.
So should I make the strap shorter, and if so how, is the strap to long, or is something else wrong.
What should I Do.
I think they both sound cool but i can only hear a little bass in most songs. I like the sound of bass because its more of a rhythm rather than a guitar melody. I already play viola and usually the violin has the melody so i no how to keep a rhythm. The guitar just sounds so coll and there are a lot of guitars solos and players. Ugh what should i play?!?!?!
From the question I’m sure you deduced that I’m a beginner. I’m also learning to play without a teacher. I live in rural Japan and classical guitar teachers are hard to come by. I know that the first and second measure usually show which finger to use, but after that I’m not always sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i would liek to leanr how to play the guitar, who is typically better, the heavy metal guy or the country guy
I want to know by the beginning of Summer. I have a lot going on, so I can’t do three hours a day of practice. Also, my guitar is super old, and some of the peg scews are coming lose, and the pegs are like jumping around when I play, and it seems like I can never tune it right. Even the guy at the store couldn’t tune it right. I’m a broke kid who’s going to high school next year, and who’s parents make her pay for anything that isn’t a necessity (I’ll thank them later). Tips?
